Girls in Pants

Girls In Pants

Girls in Pants is the continues of the sisterhood of the traveling pants. Girls in Pants is such a good book. It is just like the sisterhood of the traveling pants. This book is before all four go to college, which means their last summer being young teens. During college is the time where they really need their pants the most. In the book Tibby learned that the pants always have known what she didn’t about Brian. Carmen needs the most magic of the pants that is possible. During the summer she is going to watch Lena's cranky Greek grandmother for the summer. Carmen tries to be someone that she is not. Lena was wishing that the traveling pants will tell her to go to art school like her dreams, although her family won’t support her. Lastly Bridget loved having her pants at soccer camp, when she found out who her coach is. If i had to choose out of all of these girls where to go, I would choose both Bridget and Lena. I want to go to soccer camp and find my love there like Bridget, and I would love to be Lena only for one reason and it is for painting. I love painting but if my parents wouldn’t support me I wouldn’t know what to do.

The Giver

The Giver!!

The Giver was such a good book! I thought the ending was pretty sad. Also chapter 9 for me was the sadest chapter in the whole book. It was so sad that Jonas dad nailed the baby with the nail. I was about to cry. It was a really stupid reason. Just because the baby was 5 pound 10 ounces not 6 he had to kill him. The other baby was only 4 more ounces than the other one. If i was the baby right now i would just have to kick Jonas dad. I would not want to be the babies right now. They were so poor. Usually if i was Jonas dad i would just not follow the rules and let the baby free. I did not want to finish this book.

The Giver

The Giver is a book about a boy named Jonas that lives with his father, a Nurturer of new children. His mom who works at the Department of Justice and he has a seven year old sister Lily. At the beginning he is worried about the Ceremony of Twelve, when he will be given his official Assignment as a new adult member of the community. He does not have a distinct career preference, although he enjoys volunteering at a variety of different jobs. Though he is a good behaved citizen and a good student, Jonas is different. Jonas has pale eyes, while most people have darker eyes. In his town everyone is polite. If I had to be a character I would probably be Jonas. I sort of read ahead but when I read, he has unusual powers, that when he looks at an object, the objects moves. I would want to be him because he has unusual power, and for him it is a really big deal to turn 12 so it is awesome. In there also now he gets to start working at age 12.

Bloomability

Bloomability is a really good book. The author really brought out the message that their family moved lots of times and that everyone hates it. Her dad and his mother in law hate each other. Every time his mother in law would come to their new home they would run away. This book is not similar to any other books that I read. I think the way that the mother in law and the father are acting is really strange because they hate each other and they would always blame each other and fight. This book isn’t really about me but it is like the movie called aquamarine because there is a girl who moves everywhere with her mom. When the author said, “my mom would start packing, and we’d wait for the phone call from him so that we would met up with him” I said to myself that they must have experience with this and done it lots of times. In the couple of first chapters I didn’t really get it but after a while I started getting the point of the book.
