Six Months to live by

After i started reading "six months to live" by Lurlene McDaniel. I started liking scary/action books. This book is about a girl named Dawn Rochelle who was a thirteen year old. She one day went to pick up her checkup resoults....and she has caner. She didnt understand how she could have cancer. Dawn imidately went to the hospital. She had a roomate the same age, Sandy Chandler, who also had cancer. They did everything together including fashion advise, counselling, and other activities in the hospital. It was Dawn's fourth month at the hospital when Sandy's test results came back saying she was free to go. Two weeks later Dawn ws free to go too. Dawn and Sandy meet up at a cancer camp in Ohio. They had a blast and they even meet two boys named Greg and Mike. Mike had had a bone cancer and part of his left leg had been cut off. Greg liked Dawn and Mike liked Sandy. It was three weeks after camp when Sandy wrote a letter to Dawn that told her that Sandy had to go back to the hospital.
This is until where i stopped reading. My favorite part of the story was the i also learned new words. For example the word remission was new to me. Now i know that it means that you are free to go. I think that the author Lurlene McDaniel either had a friend like Dawn, or she was like dawn. This book was very emotinal. I think that the author wants us to think to our self, what would had happen if we had cancer, and couldnt be doing fun think, but she proved that poeple with cancer have as much fun as normal people. If i was Dawn i would not know what to do if i was her.

First Trimester Free Reading Reflections

The best thing about me reading during the first trimester was that i also get to learn from reading. Reading most of the time calms me down. Also when I read, I get ideas for my stories. Most of the ideas that I have for my story comes from that books that i read.
I have two favorite novels that i read over the first trimester. The first one is the kid who became president. I love this book because it is something that can never happen. It can never happen because a kid can never become a president. My other favorite book is the Sisterhood of the traveling pants. It is a great book because for me i could imagine how it could fell like being each of the charachters in the book.
For me one of the graphs tell me that i read diffrent amounts of pages every week. The other graph tell me that i dont read that many kinds of book. I read a lot of realistic fiction books, and a few fantasy. I also read 12 diffrent books.
My goal for the second trimester is that Ill read more than 15 books. My other goal is that i will read more fantasy and more fiction books over the year. I want to read lots of pages each week. I think that i will accomplish them by reading lots of pages everyday and many diffrent types of books.
I also loved doing a blog after reading each book that i read. I think that that is a good way to express myself. Each week i read and enjoy the book i read, and if i dont like the book i change the book that i read to an interesting book.

The Kid Who Became President

The Kid Who Became President

The kid who became president is such a great book! It is by Dan Gutman, even though these book is one and only book I read by him, but i think he is a great author. There is a kid who runs out for president because he wanted to prove his friends that he can make it. He said in front of everyone "You should vote for me because I didn’t know anything about politics, or how to raise taxes, or how to ruin the economy." Basically this book shows that a kid makes it being a president and this entire people hate him. His parents didn’t even know about it until a few weeks later. His parents were really happy for him. All of his friends got mad at him because he stopped hanging out with them. I would love to be him, and run the country. Like I said before I loved the quote saying "you should vote for me because I didn’t know anything about politics, or how to raise taxes, or how to ruin the economy. After I read this book I thought myself that also kids can do whatever or however we want, and we will success. Yes, one of the characters changed during the book, the "president" before he became one he was selfish and after he cared about everything and everyone.

Princess in Love
Princess in Love is a great book!!! I loved reading it because it had real "girls stuff" in it. The character in the book is not similar to me or anyone I know. The book is about a girl who is a princess, who at least was a princess that did not like being one. All she wanted was peace and quiet. She had a boyfriend, but she liked another boy, but this isn’t how the fairytale was supposed to go. In the book she didn’t know what to do. I never knew that princes weren’t suppose to have real boyfriends that aren’t rich, and etc. I would love to read more books by Meg Cabot. I think she is a really good artist that expresses really well. I think that the author is not trying to make you believe what is happening in the book. I think that she wants us to imagine our own things.
